New USGS map shows California is at high risk for damaging earthquakes
The latest version of the U.S. Geological Survey’s earthquake hazard model, issued last week, shows “a chance for greater shaking” from earthquakes in California than previous iterations, the agency said. The model is a forecasting tool to help predict where future earthquakes are most likely to occur.
