This seventh Major Incidents Report provides an annual record of major incidents that have been identified as significant by the emergency management sector during the 2022–23 financial year.

This report identifies 27 incidents, with nine case studies selected for in-depth discussion.

The purpose of this report is to identify unique aspects of incidents and share what is observed from managing them so that the emergency management sector can plan for and improve practice.
